Saturday, June 4th, was a memorable day for the educators at Denton’s Springbok Academy. The institution celebrated 20 years of service in the Denton community. With an open house for past and present students and parents to commune, the community showed up to honor what the Academy has done over the past 20 years.
What started as one woman’s need for better childcare, Springbok Academy has bloomed into a place parents bring their children to experience growth in learning, self-esteem and curiosity. Serving Denton since 1996 by providing quality care for infants through Kindergartners, Springbok is a site of comfort for its members.
In a 20 year span, the program which started with one woman’s dream, has grown into a school with programs for all ages through kindergarten. Several classrooms and play areas create a nurturing place where children thrive through stimulation and challenges.
“He’s been here his entire life. Ever since he can remember,” said current parent Mandy Rausch of her son’s participation in Springbok Academy. “He’s thrived…his vocabulary is huge. He is outgoing and friendly.”
With classrooms for seven different age groups (infants, toddlers, 18-24 months, 2-year- old, 3-year-old, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten) children are sure to prosper.
“I can’t even begin to tell you the long term benefits of having your child enrolled in a solid foundation preschool,” said former parent Jenny Frederick.”It’s one of the best investments you’ll ever make in your child’s education.”
Springbok Academy is currently enrolling for the summer and fall. For more information on Springbok Academy and what it has to offer, please visit their website or give them a call at 940-381-1861.
